THE PRESIDENT OF ARAGON VISITS THE WORKS OF THE NEW BARRIO JESÚS HEALTH CENTRE OF ZARAGOZA
The President of the Government of Aragon, Javier Lambán, and the Regional Minister of Health of Aragon, Sira Repollés, have visited the construction site of the new Barrio Jesús Health Centre that Papsa is building in Zaragoza. The works are progressing at a good pace and 60% of the project has already been completed. It is a sustainable building that will serve the residents of Avenida de Cataluña and El Rabal.
The president of Aragon has highlighted the importance of this building for the city and explained that the area is expected to grow over the next decade. For this reason, the project has been adapted to cater for up to 25.000 people.
Papsa has taken responsibility for the foundations and the raising of the building’s structure. The company is taken over of the exterior and interior enclosures and the masonry and exterior urbanization work. In addition, the company is responsible all the actions of the rest of the lots in which four other companies are involved.
From an environmental point of view, the structure will have thirty photovoltaic panels and an aerothermal system to produce the hot water required to reduce energy consumption. The works are scheduled to be completed by the end of September and the health center is expected to open its doors in 2023, when the interior fittings and furnishings will be finished.
