Romero Polo’s commitment to sustainability and innovation has led the company to sponsor the fifth edition of the circular economy and waste management congress, Recuwaste, an international benchmark in the environmental sector where the latest advances in waste and waste have been exposed. recycling. The event, with the slogan “Transforming proximity to change globality”, took place on October 8 and 9 at the Tecnocampus in Mataró (Barcelona).

In this new edition, the conference focused on the circular economy, whose objective is to maintain resources in the territory for as long as possible but reducing the generation of waste to the maximum. As part of the event, the need to improve waste management by public services was also stressed, an important piece to reduce the human impact on the planet.

The contest, which has had more than 50 speakers and 70 participating entities, has been organized by the Consorci de Residus del Maresme, the Diputación de Barcelona, ​​the Department of Territory and Sustainability of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Agència de Residus de Catalunya .
