ROMERO POLO BEGINS RENOVATION WORK ON THE PALAU DE VIDRE OF LLEIDA

The Temporary Joint Venture (UTE) formed by Romero Polo and Sorigué has started the rehabilitation works of the Palau de Vidre of Lleida. The construction is expected to be completed by the end of next year, and has a budget of 6 million euros.

During the first three months of work, the task of vacating the building was carried out. Regarding its structure, the building will maintain the trade fair uses on the first floor, where sports uses are also foreseen, and on the second floor there will be a conference room for 200 people, a hotel for entities and a coworking space.

The project will be characterized by the harmonization with the environment and the use of sustainable materials in its architectural design. Photovoltaic panels will be installed, the lighting will be replaced by LEDs, the air conditioning systems will be modernized and air quality control systems will be installed. The energy rehabilitation of the Palau de Vidre will be carried out as part of the recovery, transformation and resilience funded by the European Union with Next Generation EU funds.
