ROMERO POLO CONTINUES THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE MORERA MUSEUM IN LLEIDA

Romero Polo, the company awarded the construction works of the new headquarters of the Museu Morera de Lleida, together with the companies Arnó and Sorigué, has resumed work on the project, scheduled to be completed either in late November or early December 2023, as stated by the mayor of Lleida, Felix Larrosa.

Larrosa added that the aforementioned companies have “acted with loyalty in this project”. The architectural complex will have five floors and a terrace at the top. The first floor will house the reception, the store, a digital space and an area where the 13th century tanneries that have been discovered during the work will be exhibited. The first three floors will be used for exhibitions, while the fifth floor will house the multi-purpose hall, an educational classroom and access to the terrace.

The work to transform the former Lleida Court into the new headquarters of the Morera Museum began in April 2019 and is expected to be completed more than four years later, after the interruption caused by the pandemic.
