ROMERO POLO BUILDS THE NEW PARK-AND-RIDE PARKING LOT IN MARTORELL

Romero Polo is carrying out the construction of the new park-and-ride parking lot in Martorell, which will generate parking space for a total of 337 vehicles. This is one of the park-and-ride parking lots included in the plan launched by the Generalitat de Catalunya last December, and is the one that, in terms of construction work, is progressing at the fastest pace.

The new parking lot has a surface area of 1,500 square meters and is made up of 4 floors. The construction will be located next to the Martorell Central railroad station (FGC), with the aim of facilitating intermodality at this strategic point regarding communications to Barcelona (Plaça d’Espanya), Igualada, Olesa and Manresa, as well as connecting the lines that link Martorell with Granollers and the Sant Vicenç de Calders link with Manresa.

In this way, users will be able to access the station by car and use the railroad line more comfortably and efficiently. Likewise, the parking lot will have real-time information that can be consulted both on the website and on the FGC application.

The Generalitat’s plan also envisages building another forty parking lots with more than 300 spaces each, for a total of 14,677 spaces in 102 stations in 81 municipalities.
