REUS NET INTENSIFIES CLEANING IN PLAYGROUNDS AND GARDENS

Reus Net, concessionaire of the street cleaning and waste collection service of Reus, has increased the intensive cleaning services of children’s playgrounds in the city. This measure, promoted by the City Council of Reus through the Department of Public Roads and Reus Net, aims to reorganize services to increase the quality levels of cleanliness in the city.

Thus, the cleaning services of the playground areas will be carried out once every three weeks, instead of once every six months as in the past. In this way, 56 spaces are expected to be reached. The tasks include the cleaning of public furniture, such as benches and litter garbage cans; as well as the disinfection of playground equipment (swings, slides, etc.); the cleaning of graffiti or paint; and sweeping, among others. Likewise, the cleaning of parks and gardens will also benefit from this new measure, through the increase in the number of cleaning teams, which will increase from four to seven teams.

The implementation of these improvements has been possible thanks to the extension of the contract approved in February, which involved an increase in the budget of 576,000 euros. This extension has also made possible the incorporation of the extraordinary neighborhood cleaning plan, thus guaranteeing its annual execution.
