PAPSA PROGRESSES WITH THE RENOVATION OF THE A-2506 ROAD

The UTE, composed of PAPSA Infraestructures and Vialex Constructora Aragonesa, is advancing the renovation of the A-2506 road, which connects the towns of Monterde, Abanto, and Cubel. This 11.5-kilometer section, excluded from the Extraordinary Road Plan (PEC), addresses the critical need to enhance road safety for all users traveling on this route.

The project’s primary objective is to widen and modernize the roadway in specific areas, exceeding a width of 6 meters, enabling a maximum speed of 60 km/h. To date, platform preparation and asphalting have already been completed. The scope of the works also includes improvements to the drainage systems and the reinforcement of roadside ditches with concrete to ensure effective water runoff. Upcoming tasks involve replacing metal safety barriers and installing additional signage to further improve safety.

Promoted by the Directorate General of Roads and Infrastructure, this initiative has a budget exceeding €5.6 million and is scheduled for completion by the end of November. The project is part of the improvement initiatives led by the Department of Development, Housing, Logistics, and Territorial Cohesion, aimed at upgrading road sections not covered by the Extraordinary Road Plan (PEC).
