PAPSA BEGINS WORK ON THE GOVERNMENT OF ARAGÓN’S EXTRAORDINARY ROAD PLAN

The consortium formed by PAPSA Infraestructuras, part of the Romero Polo group, and VIALEX Constructora Aragonesa has begun work on the Aragón Government’s Extraordinary Road Plan. Specifically, they will be responsible for the work on Route 3, known as Zaragoza Central, which will see the renovation of over 100 kilometers of roads, some through comprehensive reconstruction and others through pavement reinforcement.

The work began on August 19, with the first phase starting on the Villanueva de Huerva – Fuendetodos section, a comprehensive reconstruction zone. Other sections of the route will progressively follow. The project has a 30-month execution period, after which the concessionary company will also be responsible for road maintenance for 25 years, as outlined in the contract.

This plan represents the largest project in the history of the Aragón Government, encompassing a total of 11 routes. Through this initiative, a significant amount of both public and private investment will be mobilized to renovate a substantial portion of the region’s road network, thus improving safety and comfort for all users.
