ILNET RECEIVES EMAS CATALONIA 2021 AWARD FOR ITS ENVIRONMENT COMMITMENT

Ilnet, UTE formed by Romero Polo and Valoriza Medioambiente, has been awarded with the EMAS Catalonia 2021 Awards in recognition of the work and effort made for the environment.

Ilnet’s commitment to the environment is demonstrated by the door-to-door collection of waste from more than 3,700 homes in the Pardinyes and Balàfia neighborhoods (Lleida). This activity is working through an innovative system that incorporates organic fraction containers with electronic closure and user ID through a card. This model makes it possible to monitor the level of recycling and to improve the waste rate.

The award ceremony was held on 9 June at the headquarters of the Centro Tecnológico Leitat in Terrassa, a member of the EMAS Club. The President of the EMAS Club, Marta Escamilla, presided over the event along with the councilor of the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Action, Teresa Jordà, who gave the official welcome of the event.
