ILNET RECEIVES THE BLUE PAJARITAS PRIZE FOR ITS RECYCLING INITIATIVES

February, 2019.- Ilnet, a joint venture formed by Romero Polo and Valoriza Medioambiente, a subsidiary of Sacyr, responsible for road cleaning in the city of Lleida, has received the “Pajaritas Azules” award for the third consecutive year, awarded by the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Pulp, Paper and Cardboard (ASPAPEL), which recognizes the cleaning service of Spanish cities.

The company has been recognized for the implementation of different initiatives integrated in the global project “Lleida en Verde”; among others, the installation of 500 new islands of selective collection containers or the implementation of door-to-door collection. In the Lleida neighborhoods of Ciutat Jardí and Vila Montcada, 86% of the waste has been recycled in the first three months of door-to-door operation.

The company manages the road collection and cleaning service of the city of Lleida, as well as the collection of waste from the Aran Valley and the management of the Segrià waste treatment plant, among others. It also deals with the maintenance of infrastructures, installations and energy services such as the management of public lighting or the development of projects related to energy efficiency.
