ILNET IMPLEMENTS ITS NEW SELECTIVE WASTE COLLECTION SYSTEM

On November 22, Ilnet, a joint venture that includes Romero Polo, implemented a new selective collection system with container islands in the neighborhoods of Pardinyes and Balàfia. This initiative includes the installation of 121 new containers distributed in 30 islands, together with a reinforcement in the cleaning of these areas and in the collection of commercial cardboard.

This new system represents a significant advance in the service, promoting coexistence, civic-mindedness, complicity and commitment to the city of Lleida. In addition, this change will benefit the 3,700 homes that will leave behind the door-to-door system, adopting a model more suited to the urban characteristics of these neighborhoods.

In addition, the renovation of the system is complemented by innovations such as containers adapted for intelligent opening systems, which will make it possible to identify people who deposit waste and apply bonuses to those who recycle. In this way, the improvements seek to optimize waste management and encourage the inhabitants’ commitment to sustainability and the progressive improvement of the service.
