COMPLETION OF TECHNOLOGICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL MODERNIZATION ACTIVITIES AT THE PAVIGAR ASPHALT PLANT

Pavigar, a company that is part of the Romero Polo Group, has developed a project for the technological and environmental modernization of its asphalt plant which has received €458,170 from the 2022 grant call to promote the circular economy in businesses by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) under the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (PRTR), financed by the European Union – Next Generation.

The objective of this initiative has been to strengthen the company’s activity, reaffirming its commitment to contributing to the achievement of European environmental objectives and reducing its impact on the environment and society.

The actions carried out within the framework of these grants include: the construction of a system for storing treated and valorized milled material; the acquisition of a system for processing and classifying the milled material; the replacement of the current heating and drying system for aggregates with a new system that allows recycling rates of up to 40%; the acquisition of an additive system to enable milling rates of up to 40%; and the acquisition of a new bitumen foaming system to reduce the manufacturing temperature.

With this project, the company strengthens its commitment to sustainability and innovation, moving towards a more environmentally friendly and efficient future.
